Amex Platinum's Digital Entertainment Credit Increases to $25 a Month
American Express's Digital Entertainment Credit on the Platinum Card has increased from up to $20 per month ($240/year) to up to $25 per month ($300/year). The eligible service list also expanded: alongside the existing Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Peacock, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, cardholders can now also apply the credit to YouTube Premium, YouTube TV, and Paramount+.
Why Peacock Bundle Subscriptions Stop Qualifying August 1, 2026
Separately, Amex has updated cardholder terms to close a workaround some Platinum holders used: bundling Peacock with an add-on service (commonly Apple TV+) to get the second service indirectly reimbursed through the credit. Effective August 1, 2026, Peacock subscriptions purchased as a bundle or through a third-party add-on will no longer trigger the credit. Only standalone Peacock subscriptions purchased directly at peacock.com will continue to qualify.
What to Do Before August 1: Switch to Standalone Peacock or a New Eligible Service
If you currently rely on a Peacock bundle for this credit, you have two options: switch to a standalone Peacock plan before the change takes effect, or redirect that month's $25 toward one of the other eligible services — YouTube Premium and YouTube TV are now solid alternatives given the expanded list.
